Mike Trout Scores A Run In Loss
2 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout went 0-for-4 with a run scored and a strikeout in an 8-6 loss to the Cleveland Guardians on Saturday. Trout was hit by a pitch in the top of the third inning and would later come around to score off an Anthony Rendon sacrifice fly. The typically reliable 31-year-old has struggled mightily over the last seven games with a .179/.233/.214 batting line to go along with a 9:1 K/BB ratio. He's fully capable of going on a heater at any point so there's no cause for concern. On the year, he's slashing .279/.367/.510 with eight home runs and 20 RBI over 147 at-bats.
