Mike Trout Hits Off Tee
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (wrist) hit off a tee on Friday, and there's still a chance he returns at some point during the final week of the season, although time is running out. Trout returned from the injured list on Aug. 22 after missing 38 games with a fractured left-hamate bone, but he played in just one game before going back on the injured list on Aug. 25. He said he returned too soon and the pain was affecting the way he was swinging the bat, but he said he still expects to return in 2023. Further testing on his hand on Sept. 4 showed no structural damage. In yet another season that will end with no trip to the postseason for the 32-year-old, Trout is hitting .263/.367/.490 with 18 home runs, 44 RBI and 54 runs scored in 308 at-bats.
