Mike Trout (knee) appears to be progressing from a bone bruise that landed him on the injured list roughly a week ago. The superstar outfielder has been reportedly swinging the bat without any issues. The organization is hopeful that Trout can begin running next week. It sounds like Trout no longer has pain in his knee, which is great news. There is a chance that Trout could be available to return once eligible, but the Angels might be cautious with the oft-injured outfielder. For now, fantasy managers can continue to stash Trout on the IL and hope he returns within the next few weeks.

Mike Trout (knee) landed on the 10-day injured list on Thursday with a left knee bone bruise, the Orange County Register's Jeff Fletcher reports. Trout was hustling out a ground ball on Wednesday and was removed from the game after seemingly coming up limping. After the game, Trout told reporters his knee was feeling better, but he was left out of the lineup Thursday and is now on the injured list. The Angels have downplayed the injury thus far, and manager Ron Washington added that the injury is not believed to be significant and that there is no structural damage. This is likely a proactive measure to sideline Trout for 10 days and have him return after the minimal stay on the injured list. However, no timeline has been announced yet. Taylor Ward and

Travis d'Arnaud is catching and in the six-hole. The Angels pulled Trout as a precaution in Wednesday's game after he dealt with some soreness in his left knee, so it's not all that much of a surprise that he's not playing a day later. As far as we know, the 33-year-old All-Star isn't dealing with any structural damage and is just considered day-to-day for now. But given all of his injury issues in recent seasons, it wouldn't be a surprise if he finds his way to the injured list. Trout is hitting just .179 in 106 at-bats so far, but he has contributed nine homers, 18 RBI and 14 runs scored in 29 games played.

Mike Trout (knee) felt soreness in his left knee when he hit first base in Wednesday's 9-3 loss to the division-rival Seattle Mariners, and the Angels removed him as a precaution. He went 1-for-2 in the game before being replaced by
Jo Adell in right field. Trout said his knee is already feeling better and has undergone some tests. The 33-year-old three-time MVP and 11-time All-Star said he will try to play in Thursday's series opener against the visiting Detroit Tigers. This is not what fantasy managers that selected Trout at a discount this year want to hear with the calendar about to flip to May, but as of right now, it sounds like he's just day-to-day. Trout had yet to miss a game this year, appearing in all 29 games (22 of them in right field). Last year, he made it just 29 games before suffering a torn meniscus that eventually required surgery. Trout started strong in 2025 but is now hitting .173 with nine homers and 18 RBI.
