Mike Soroka Nearing A Rehab Stint
2 years agoAtlanta Braves right-hander Mike Soroka (Achilles) is on track to begin a 30-day rehab stint soon, according to Braves manager Brian Snitker. Soroka completed a simulated game on Saturday after having previously thrown a live batting practice session. The 24-year-old hasn't pitched in the majors since August of 2020, when he tore his Achilles. He wound up tearing the same Achilles once again last year, making his recovering timeline even longer. The hope is that he'll be able to rejoin the Braves at some point during the second half of the 2022 season, but it's unclear when exactly that will be and he figures to be on a strict innings limit upon returning.
