7 years agoKansas City Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas is a very likely trade target over the next six weeks since the Royals are one of the worst teams in the league, but general manager Dayton Moore told Rustin Dodd of The Athletic that he won't be traded "just to do a deal." This attitude is likely just Moore's attempt to keep some leverage in negotiations since trading Moose is the obvious move for the last-place Royals, but Moore has never been one to take advantage of the obvious moves, so perhaps Moustakas won't be going anywhere. If that's the case, then that's bad for his fantasy value, as the mostly dreadful lineup around him limits his counting stats considerably. Moose is still having a fine year and is on pace to top 30 home runs, so hopefully he can head to a team that can make better use of his talents this year.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
