6 years agoChicago Cubs left-hander Mike Montgomery (lat) threw a successful bullpen session on Thursday, reporting no issues in a positive step towards his return. The 29-year-old was placed on the injured list last week with a lat strain after four dreadful appearances out of the bullpen. Montgomery is reportedly set for one more bullpen session over the weekend before any plans are made for his return to the roster. Regardless, his return is reportedly envisioned to come towards the end of April during a homestand between the April 19 and 25.--RDelgado
