Mike Minor Suffers His 10th Loss On Friday
3 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Mike Minor struggled in Friday's start against the St. Louis Cardinals. He pitched five innings and allowed seven hits, two walks and four earned runs while striking out seven. Over 23 starts on the year, Minor is 8-10 with a 5.39 ERA, a 1.27 WHIP and a 23.3% strikeout rate. He has a 4.37 xERA on the year, so he's been a little unlucky so far, but he's giving up far too much hard contact to be successful. He ranks in the 24th percentile in xSLG (.437) and in the 17th percentile in max exit velocity (114.2 mph). He can be left on waivers in all fantasy leagues for now. He'll make his next start on Wednesday against the New York Yankees.
