Mike Minor Gives Up 10 Hits Against Tigers
4 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Mike Minor struggled in Friday's start against the Detroit Tigers. He pitched six innings and allowed a season-high 10 hits, which led to a total of four earned runs. On the bright side, he didn't yield a single walk and he struck out eight batters. Minor was coming off of his best start of the year, when he limited the Chicago White Sox to just one run over seven innings last Saturday, so it was unfortunate to see him struggle here. He now has a 5.14 ERA and 1.24 WHIP on the year. He's a potential streaming option in deep fantasy leagues when the right matchups come around, though this appeared to be one of them and Minor couldn't deliver much. His next start will be on Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays.
