6 years agoDetroit Red Wings defenseman Mike Green (illness) will be out for seven-to-10 days with a virus. He missed nine games back in October with a similar ailment. The veteran rearguard has produced five goals, 21 assists, and three power-play points through 43 games this season. He remains the top fantasy defenseman on the Red Wings, but his days of top-tier production are long over. He is only worthy of rostering in deep formats, although, there are likely adequate replacements available on the waiver wire. There has been no word on a potential replacement for Green, but Trevor Daley (upper body) may return to the lineup for Tuesday's game.
