3 years agoNew York Giants quarterback Mike Glennon completed 13-of-24 passes for 99 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions and rushed once for no gain in Sunday's 21-6 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Jake Fromm replaced him with just under four minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. With the Giants down 15, head coach Joe Judge benched Glennon and turned to Fromm to try to kickstart the offense. The 23-year-old completed six of his 12 attempts for 82 yards, including a 36-yard strike to wide receiver Kenny Golladay. Glennon was abysmal on Sunday and has now thrown five interceptions over his last two games in relief for starter Daniel Jones. Fromm will most likely draw the start over the veteran Glennon if Jones remains sidelined in Week 16's matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller

2 years agoWith the Miami Dolphins preparing to be without quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) and with Teddy Bridgewater dealing with a dislocated pinkie finger, the team signed veteran quarterback Mike Glennon to their practice squad on Wednesday, according to a source. If both Tagovailoa and Bridgewater are unavailable for the Week 18 game against the New York Jets, rookie Skylar Thompson would be in line to make his second career start, with Glennon serving as his backup. The 33-year-old Glennon has not made an appearance for an NFL team this year. He played in six games (four starts) for the New York Giants in 2021 and went 90-for-167 for 790 yards, four touchdowns and 10 interceptions.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

3 years agoNew York Giants head coach Joe Judge said that quarterback Mike Glennon (wrist) will require surgery for a wrist injury he suffered in the Week 17 loss to the Chicago Bears, and he will miss the Week 18 regular season finale against the Washington Football Team. Glennon returned to the starting role in Week 17 and was absolutely terrible, going 4-for-11 for 24 yards and two interceptions while fumbling four times (two lost). The 32-year-old will finish the year 90-for-167 for 790 yards, four touchdowns and 10 interceptions while taking nine sacks in six games (four starts). The Giants season will mercifully end this weekend with Jake Fromm making his second career start. He hasn't looked quite as bad as Glennon in limited action, but things probably won't get much better in Week 18. He fumbled the ball four times and ended up losing two of them. The 32-year-old completed just four passes in Sunday's loss to the Bears and combined for more sacks and interceptions (six) than completions in Week 17. Glennon should start the regular season finale against the Washington Football Team in Week 18. Fantasy managers should look elsewhere, though, even in superflex leagues, after Glennon's 4:10 touchdown-to-interception ratio over six games in 2021.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller

While many beat writers suggest that Glennon should get the start and see the bulk of the work, neither quarterback is playable, even in two-quarterback leagues, given the uncertainty of their playing time. The duo also make the Chicago Bears an intriguing fantasy DST, but be careful because the Bears are the 28th-ranked fantasy defense over the last month, so they are a risky option to rest your fantasy title hopes on.--Eric Samulski
