Mike Foltynewicz Tosses Quality Start On Friday
6 years agoAtlanta Braves starter Mike Foltynewicz allowed one run on five hits in six innings of work during a 5-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday. Foltynewicz struck out seven batters without walking anyone. The 27-year-old now owns a 1-3 record on the season to go along with a 5.67 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and 24/8 K/BB rate. Foltynewicz has now thrown back-to-back quality starts after struggling through his first four appearances of the campaign. He will continue to try and rediscover his All-Star form in his next projected start against the Detroit Tigers.
