Mike Foltynewicz Resumes Throwing On Tuesday
6 years agoAtlanta Braves starter Mike Foltynewicz (elbow) will resume his throwing program on Tuesday after missing the start of camp with elbow soreness. The injury is not too detrimental, as the Braves have stated he would play through it if it occurred in the regular season. He'll continue to build arm strength before being good to go for a Grapefruit League appearance. The injury has likely prevented him from being the Opening Day starter. Foltynewicz posted a 13-10 record last season to go along with a 2.85 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and a 9.9 K/9 ratio. With that in mind, opponents had a .251 BABIP against Foltynewicz which was a full .052 off of his career average. He is a solid SP3, but some managers are drafting him as an SP2. Ensure you do not overpay for Foltynewicz at the draft table.
