Mike Evans Should Stand Tall
5 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin have been terrorizing the NFL recently. According to the NFL Research Department, both Godwin (WR3) and Evans (WR4) are top-five WRs in fantasy football. The last WR duo to finish the season with this distinction was Denver Broncos WRs Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders in 2014 with Peyton Manning at the helm. Manning was coached at the start of his career by none other than Bucs head coach Bruce Arians. This Sunday the Saints Defense will attempt to knock them down a peg or two on those rankings a week after getting sweet revenge against the Cowboys. The Bucs and Saints are not intimidated by one another, and they do not like each other. There could be fights, ejections, injuries, etc. Evans will face off against cornerback Marshon Lattimore, who shut down Amari Cooper last week. Cooper and Lattimore are the same height, Evans and Lattimore are not. He can use his five-inch height discrepancy to his advantage. Evans will be a solid WR1 this week and should be started in all formats.
