Mike Davis Handles 18 Touches In Opener
3 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Mike Davis carried the ball 15 times for 49 rushing yards and caught three passes for 26 receiving yards in Sunday's loss to the Eagles. Davis saw the workload of a true lead back, as he handled 15 carries and was targeted six times in the passing game, though the results were less than stellar, as he averaged just 3.3 yards per tote. Still, that's the kind of workload that will make Davis a trustworthy RB2 this year in fantasy, so long as he can compile better production through both the ground and the air. Davis will get a tough matchup next week against the Buccaneers, who held him under 50 scrimmage yards last season.
