Mike Davis Could Bounce Back Against Giants
3 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Mike Davis saw a decrease in touches last week, giving fantasy managers some pause heading into a Week 3 matchup against the Giants. While Davis ceded more touches to backup Cordarrelle Patterson, the former looked more impressive on the ground, averaging 4.2 yards per carry. While Davis' snap count percentage dropped from 75 percent to 64, he was still the clear lead back, which should give him at least flex consideration. The Giants defense has surrendered the fifth-most rushing yards through two weeks- and Atlanta will want to get the run game going early to fire up head coach Arthur Smith's play-action passes. Davis is in line for a bounce-back against New York as a fringe RB2/3 in Week 3.
