Ottawa Senators goaltender Mike Condon made 35 stops on 37 shots in a 2-1 loss to the Calgary Flames on Friday night. Condon’s impressive play was the only thing that kept the score close. The Flames could have run away with the game in the first and second periods if it wasn’t for some very impressive saves by the Senators No. 2 goalie. Ottawa, however, wasn’t able to muster enough offense to overpower Calgary or force overtime in the one-goal game. Despite Condon’s standout performance on Friday, his record drops to 4-13-5 after the match with a 3.19 goals-against average and .903 save percentage. Barring something unforeseen happening to Senators normal starter Craig Anderson, Condon should remain a free agent in your league unless your team is in dire need of a goaltending start and the backup gets the nod in that specific game.--Alex McKenzie
