Mike Clevinger Taking The Hill Thursday
2 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Mike Clevinger will get the start for Thursday's game against Brady Singer and the Kansas City Royals. The 32-year-old will look to get on track, as he's pitched to a 4.84 ERA, 1.53 WHIP, and 20.6% strikeout rate with two wins across seven starts so far. Those numbers are a far cry from Clevinger's first five seasons in the bigs when he posted a 3.19 ERA and 27.3% strikeout rate with the Cleveland Guardians and San Diego Padres. The right-hander has lost almost all of his value during the last two campaigns, and fantasy managers should feel safe dropping him for a higher-upside arm on the waiver wire in most leagues.
