Mike Clevinger Shuts Out Phillies In Five Innings Of Work Tuesday
3 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Mike Clevinger had a solid day on the mound Tuesday, playing a key part in the 3-0 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. It was his first win of the season after he threw five innings, giving up no runs on one hit with no walks and five strikeouts. It was Clevinger's best appearance since returning from the injured list on May 4, and he now owns a 3.21 ERA and 1.14 WHIP, along with 15 strikeouts over 14 innings. The 31-year-old has a chance to be a great fantasy asset if he can find the form he had before undergoing Tommy John surgery.
