Mikal Bridges Grabs A Double-Double In Thursday's Win
4 years agoPhoenix Suns small forward Mikal Bridges posted his second double-double of the year in Thursday's win over Portland, scoring 21 points and grabbing a game-high 11 rebounds. The 24-year-old shot 6-for-9 from the field and 6-for-6 at the line with a 3-for-5 effort from behind the arc. Bridges added two assists and one steal with two turnovers in 41 minutes. He stepped up big time on the glass, as Deandre Ayton (knee) missed his first game of the season. Dario Saric entered the starting five and finished with 12 points and five rebounds. The Suns play again on Saturday against San Antonio, which doesn't give Ayton a lot of time to recover, and Bridges will be expected to put in a lot of work on the glass again if Ayton isn't in the lineup.
