5 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Miguel Vargas went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, two runs scored, and a walk in Friday's 8-5 win over the Brewers. Vargas has not seen a lot of playing time with the big league club since he was called up for the second time this season, although that could change with Jason Heyward hitting the IL. Then again, James Outman was just recalled as well, so Vargas may still be limited to a platoon situation. If he can get regular at-bats, the 24-year-old does offer some pop as he hit eight home runs at Triple-A this season in just 41 games, and hit 18 last season between Triple-A and the majors. He also stole eight bags at Triple-A this year, so he's got some speed too. The right-handed hitter is eligible at both 2B and OF in Yahoo leagues for managers interested in taking a flier on the youngster.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBaller
