2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers infielder Miguel Vargas (finger) reportedly has a hairline fracture in his right pinky finger, according to a tweet from The Orange County Register's Bill Plunkett on Monday. Per Plunkett's tweet, the infielder "took a ground ball off the pinkie on his right hand." Plunkett also noted in his tweet that "Activity will be limited for Vargas." and that the 23-year-old "Won't swing for a few days. Then 'Per tolerance.'" Vargas hit .170 with a .200 on-base percentage, a home run, and a stolen base in 50 plate appearances at the Major League level this past season. He also hit .304 with a .404 on-base percentage, 17 home runs, and 16 stolen bases in 520 plate appearances for Los Angeles' Triple-A affiliate. Capable of playing first base, second base, third base, and left field, Vargas could be in for an expanded role this coming season with the Dodgers.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
