Miguel Vargas Dealing With A Sore Thumb
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers second baseman Miguel Vargas (thumb) was hit by a pitch in Monday's 13-4 victory over the Colorado Rockies. He stayed in the game but is now dealing with some thumb soreness and is day-to-day, according to Juan Toribio of MLB.com. Vargas went 1-for-3 with a run, an RBI, and a walk in the contest. The 23-year-old is having a great start to the season, slashing .375/.722/.500 with four runs in five games. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too worried, as Vargas will likely avoid an injured list stint, but manager David Roberts said they'll have more information on Tuesday. Once he's back, he should continue providing solid fantasy production in multiple categories.
