Miguel Vargas Continues To Hit In Triple-A
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers infield prospect Miguel Vargas went 1-for-3 with two runs, one RBI, two walks and a strikeout on Tuesday for Triple-A Oklahoma City. The versatile infielder continues to have an impressive season and is now hitting .311 with seven home runs, 28 RBI and four stolen bases to go along with a notable .934 OPS. The 22-year-old has also shown discipline at the plate with 30 walks and 30 strikeouts. Perhaps the biggest issue for Vargas is the fact that the Dodgers have an All-Star team at the big-league level. Needing an injury to likely get the call to the Dodgers, Vargas' quickest ascension could be if he is dealt by the club. For now, Vargas is a name for dynasty managers to monitor, but he would be an intriguing addition in redraft leagues if an injury or trade occurs.
