4 years agoMinnesota Twins first/third baseman Miguel Sano is taking a seat on the bench for Thursday's game against the White Sox. Sano is not in the lineup for the second time in three games amidst a 3-for-21 slide with 11 strikeouts in May. The slugger is generally streaky at the dish, though it's concerning to see his expected slugging percentage and barrel rate at career-low marks. The Twins will likely continue to exercise patience with Sano, though it could soon be running thin, as beat writer Aaron Gleeman pointed out. As for Thursday, Willians Astudillo will start at first base and bat eighth.--Tim Capurso
