Miguel Sano Now 2-for-30 To Start The Season
3 years agoMinnesota Twins first baseman Miguel Sano took an 0-for-4 at the dish Monday during the 8-3 victory over the Boston Red Sox. It lowered his season batting average to .067, and he's now sporting a .430 OPS with one home run. Sano should once again surpass the 30 HR mark this season, but he'll hurt the batting average, as he's a career .235 hitter and hit just .223 in 2021. Those numbers are hard to swallow, especially considering that the 28-year-old has just five career steals across eight seasons and is hitting near the bottom of the Twins lineup. He shouldn't be started in most leagues but fantasy managers needing a power boost can stream Sano in favorable matchups.
