Miguel Rojas Leaves Game After Turning Double Play
4 years agoMiami Marlins shortstop Miguel Rojas was forced out of Monday's game against Milwaukee in the second half of the seventh inning on Monday after turning a double play. To that point in the game, Rojas had gone 1-for-3 with a single and a run scored in the top of the sixth inning on a Garrett Cooper double. Rojas has played 21 of a possible 22 games for Miami through Monday and is listed as day-to-day after Monday's scare, so he may not need to miss much time at all, if any. He has generated above-average offensive production with a 123 wRC+ over 83 plate appearances and has moved up the batting order of late, with all but one game in the last nine days leading off or batting second for the Marlins. Keep an eye on injury updates, but it doesn't sound as if Rojas' injury is very serious.
