Miguel Castro Records Sixth Save In 2023
1 year agoArizona Diamondbacks right-hander Miguel Castro logged his sixth save of the season, beating the Atlanta Braves 3-2 Friday. While preserving a slim one-run advantage, he surrendered back-to-back singles with only one out, placing runners on the corners in the ninth inning. However, the 28-year-old was able to escape and earn the save. Castro has been consistent all year, owning a 3-1 record, a 2.13 ERA, and a 1.13 WHIP while striking out 22 batters in 25 1/3 innings pitched. Andrew Chafin and Castro continue to split save chances in Arizona, but both relievers should be rostered in all league formats.
