Miguel Cabrera Homers Twice, Including Go-Ahead Grand Slam
4 years agoDetroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera had his best offensive game of the year in Friday's 7-5 win over the Kansas City Royals. He went 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI. His second home run of the game was a seventh inning grand slam off of Royals reliever Greg Holland that gave the Tigers a two-run lead they wouldn't relinquish. This game put an end to a long home run drought for Cabrera. His last homer before Friday's game came on April 27 against the Chicago White Sox. Cabrera is slashing just .204/.287/.330 on the year with four home runs and 16 RBI over 28 games. He can remain on waivers in all fantasy leagues.
