4 years agoDetroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera is entering his 19th MLB season, but his first under new Tigers manager A.J. Hinch. In a recent press conference, Hinch spoke glowingly of the veteran saying, "He's arguably the best first baseman we have, and I love having him out there." Cabrera has been expected to be the team's primary designated hitter this year, but Hinch's comment suggests that Cabrera might get a decent amount of playing time at first base this year. Cabrera made 26 starts at first base in 2019, but didn't play the position at all in 2020. Expect Cabrera to hit in the heart of the Tigers' lineup this year and provide solid contact numbers with minimal power.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
