Miguel Andujar To See Some Time At First In Minors
7 years agoAfter his strong start to Spring Training, Miguel Andujar fell short of a spot on the New York Yankees, being assigned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The 23-year-old is primarily a third baseman, but according to General Manager Brian Cashman, he will also see time at first base. Cashman said 80 percent of his time playing defense will be at third base, while 20 percent will see him play first. The Dominican native’s best shot at making the minors at any point this season still figures to be at third base, with fellow Triple-A teammate Tyler Austin a better fit at first base.
