Miguel Andujar To Play First Base At Alternate Site
4 years agoNew York Yankees infielder Miguel Andujar is beginning to take regular reps at the team's alternate site and will spend much of his time at first base. Andujar has been sidelined since March with a strained right hand, though it's a good sign to see him off the injured list and ramping up his activity. Andujar would give the Yankees another reason to call up his bat if he can take to first base well, especially with Luke Voit (knee) sidelined for a couple of more weeks. The 26-year-old burst onto the scene as a rookie, batting .297 with 27 home runs and 80-plus runs and RBI in 149 games.
