Miguel Andujar To Attempt Base Throws Friday
6 years agoA week after taking his first baseball swings following his injured list stint, New York Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar (shoulder) will take his next step in the rehabbing process. Andujar will throw to the bases Friday as he attempts to figure out whether he can play his position at third base. The Yankees are already discussing the possibility of playing him as a designated hitter if he's deemed unfit to play the field. The 24-year-old has only played in three games this season, but hit .297 in 149 games last year, finishing second in the American League Rookie of the Year voting.
