Miguel Andujar Reaches Double-Digit Home Runs
6 years agoAfter three consecutive hitless games last weekend, New York Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar seems to have found his way again during his club’s sweep of the Seattle Mariners. The 23-year-old recorded four hits during the series, including two home runs to go with four RBI. It was vital that he break out, as he found himself in the midst of a stretch of 14 consecutive plate appearances without a hit. While he’s been impressive for the majority of the season, his .295 average for the month of June is his best thus far. Andujar is now one of seven Yankees with at least 10 home runs this season, an incredible feat for this team that has already recorded 50 wins. For his part, the Dominican infielder seems to be growing more disciplined at the plate, having recently gone a season-high seven consecutive games without a strikeout.
