2 years agoPittsburgh Pirates corner infielder/outfielder Miguel Andujar went 1-for-3 with a single, an RBI, a walk, and a strikeout in Monday's 8-3 win over the Reds. The 27-year-old was claimed off waivers by the Pirates from the New York Yankees on Sunday. Andujar had some fantasy intrigue around him earlier in his career but never got the opportunity to consistently play with the Yankees. He has put together a poor .232/.257/.283 slash line in 105 big-league plate appearances this season but had a much better .285/.330/.487 slash line in 297 plate appearances with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Maybe Andujar will be able to finally generate some fantasy value in 2023 with the potential for consistent playing time.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
