Miguel Andujar's Home Run Blows Game Open
6 years agoNew York Yankees rookie third baseman Miguel Andujar has been the team's best hitter average-wise, and he once again came up big Tuesday night in a victory over the Baltimore Orioles. The 23-year-old tripled his club’s lead in the fifth inning with a three-run home run, effectively putting the game away. It was the only hit of the night for Andujar, with this being his lone home run in the month of July. Although it was his only home run of the month, the Dominican native enjoyed yet another superb month, his best of the year. Andujar exits the month hitting .292 and making a case to be in the mix for American League Rookie of the Year.
