Miguel Andujar Hits 18th Home Run In Loss On Monday
6 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar provided a punch of offense on Monday, though ultimately it wasn't enough for his team to overcome the New York Mets in an 8-5 loss. In the bottom of the eighth inning with the Yankees trailing 7-3, Andujar hit a two-run bomb to put the Yankees within striking distance of the lead. That was the last time they would score though, as the Mets were able to seal the deal. Andujar was also one of the few Yankee hitters to not strike out against Mets ace Jacob deGrom, who finished with 12 Ks. Andujar is hitting .345 his last seven games, and though there have been some defensive headaches, his bat is as valuable in fantasy as they come. He's a front-runner for the American League Rookie of the Year and should be kept in all lineups going forward.
