Miguel Andujar Gives Yankees Encouraging News
6 years agoAmidst a litany of injuries, the New York Yankees got some good news Wednesday afternoon. Starting third baseman Miguel Andujar, who has been out all of April with a labrum tear, has been facing the possibility of season-ending surgery since he's been on the injured list. Tuesday it was announced that he'd attempt to make some throws at 60 feet on Wednesday, a pivotal step in his possible return. After successfully completing 25 throws, the 24-year-old announced he felt "better than he thought he would," a very encouraging statement. Of course it's just a baby step, but he's next scheduled to throw and hit in the batting cage on Friday.
