Miguel Andujar Crushes Grand Slam To Put Yankees Ahead
6 years agoThe New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays matched zeros through the first five innings of Tuesday night’s game at the Rogers Centre. In the sixth, however, Yankees starter CC Sabathia allowed the game’s first run. His offense quickly picked him up with a strong seventh inning, however. After a single, a hit batter and a walk, third baseman Miguel Andujar stepped up with the bases loaded. On the very first pitch he saw, he drilled a grand slam to left field, a decisive blow that put the Yankees ahead by three runs. The 23-year-old is now hitting .305 through 49 games this season, with seven home runs and 26 RBI.
