Miguel Andujar Could Return In A Week
6 years agoNew York Yankees manager Aaron Boone shared some unexpected positive news Thursday before his club's series finale against the Angels. Miguel Andujar, the club's starting third baseman, will play the position for up to five innings in an extended spring game Friday. If all goes well, Boone estimates that Andujar could be back with the big league ball club in a week. While there were reports that the 24-year-old was slowly progressing, no word of in-game action had been reported until Thursday. Andujar has been out nearly four weeks since suffering a labrum tear. This is exciting news, but he must first successfully complete the extended spring game.
