Miguel Andujar Could Play In Extended Spring Games This Weekend
6 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar (shoulder) could play third base in extended spring training games this weekend, according to manager Aaron Boone. The 24-year-old was a finalist for American League Rookie of the Year last year with an impressive slash line of .297/.328/.527 with 27 home runs and 92 RBI in 149 games, so he clearly has upside. When he's ready, he'll return to his role as the everyday third baseman in the Bronx, so he needs to be stashed everywhere. DJ LeMahieu and Giovanny Urshela have been splitting time at the hot corner with Andujar out.
