Mickey Moniak Back In Angels Lineup
3 months agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mickey Moniak (elbow) is back in the starting lineup on Sunday against the Toronto Blue Jays and right-hander Kevin Gausman at the Rogers Centre, playing center field and batting in the five-hole. Moniak will return to action after missing the last couple of contests due to a minor elbow injury. The 26-year-old left-handed batter has hit .125 in eight career at-bats against Gausman but has been productive this month, going 15-for-47 (.319) with two home runs, four doubles, six RBI and seven runs scored in 14 starts. He's also been much more productive against righties in 2024, batting .232 (68-for-293) against them with all eight his home runs. Moniak will be a low-upside DFS sleeper in his return to the lineup. With Mike Trout (knee) out the rest of the season, Moniak will be a regular in center field for the Halos when they face righties.
