Michael Wacha Scratched From Monday's Start
2 years agoThe Boston Red Sox have scratched right-hander Michael Wacha (arm) from his scheduled start against the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday. He stated that he was dealing with a "heavy arm" on Sunday, prompting the Red Sox to hold him out of action. Left-handed reliever Austin Davis will now be the team's starter on Monday, making the game a bullpen game for the team. Wacha has been a nice surprise in the Red Sox rotation this year. Over 13 starts, the 31-year-old has gone 6-1 with a 2.69 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP.
