Michael Thomas a Good Bet to Rack Up Targets Against Vikings Despite Tough Draw
7 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas kept his late-season mojo going in the Wild-Card round with eight catches for 131 yards. He already ended the regular season by setting the record for most catches by a wideout through his first two NFL seasons, breaking a record recently set by Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. Thomas should continue to be quarterback Drew Brees' favorite target in the Divisional round, but he gets a much tougher draw on the other side. Minnesota cornerback Xavier Rhodes is one of the best shutdown corners in the league, and he held Thomas to 45 yards in their Week 1 matchup earlier this year. Thomas doesn't have the highest of ceilings, but with the way the Saints are rolling offensively, it's hard to consider him anything but a top-five WR play this week.
