Michael McGreevy Tosses Six Shutout Innings In Thursday’s Victory
7 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals pitching prospect Michael McGreevy threw 6 2/3 shutout innings en route to his first victory of the season. The former first-round selection surrendered only four hits and one walk. He struck out four. This was an excellent bounce-back performance for the 23-year-old, as he allowed five earned runs in his previous start. He has an overall 4.02 ERA and 1.47 WHIP through 15 2/3 innings of Triple-A ball so far to begin the 2024 campaign. Last season, he had a similar 4.12 ERA and 1.41 WHIP over 153 innings across Double-A and Triple-A. McGreevy should be expected to make his major-league debut sometime this summer.
