Michael McDowell Carries Upside DFS Wise at Road America
3 years agoIf one tosses out the Sonoma result, Michael McDowell has two top ten results on road courses this year. His 7th at Austin was more impressive considering he started 23rd and the fact that the race was cut short. The No. 34 has a bit of a reputation of driving a bit recklessly, especially on road tracks, but again he has started 15th or worse in six of his last seven races. The idea is to hope he qualifies low and pray for place differential. This is always a dicey proposition but with how pricing is, McDowell should be cheap.
