Michael Lorenzen Suffers Hamstring Injury On Saturday
3 years agoCincinnati Reds pitcher Michael Lorenzen (hamstring) exited Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Brewers with a "hamstring related" injury, per manager David Bell. "We're hoping that he responds well tomorrow and he can avoid going on the IL," said Bell. He allowed one hit and one walk while striking out two over a scoreless inning during Saturday's loss. Lorenzen stayed in the game by shifting to the outfield and hurt his hamstring while running the bases in the 11th inning. The severity of Lorenzen's injury is unknown at this time, and he's currently day-to-day. Lorenzen (shoulder) was just recently activated from the 60–day injured list last Friday. The Reds will provide an update on his timeline after additional tests. Stay tuned.
