3 years agoChicago White Sox manager Tony La Russa said on Tuesday that pitcher Michael Kopech (hamstring) will throw off of the mound prior to Tuesday's game. Kopech has been sidelined since being placed on the 10-day injured list on May 31 with a Grade 1 strain of his left hamstring. More should be known about his progress and timeline after he goes through mound work on Tuesday. Kopech has mostly worked out of the bullpen but has also made three starts this season. Regardless of the role, Kopech has been dominant this season with a 1.72 ERA to go along with 45 strikeouts in just 31 1/3 innings.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
