Michael Kopech To Start Game 2 On Sunday
3 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Michael Kopech has been named the team's starter for Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the New York Yankees. Johnny Cueto will be on the mound for Game 1. Kopech was away from the team as he was on the paternity list this past week, awaiting the birth of his son Vander. The 26-year-old has a stellar 1.54 ERA and 0.94 WHIP on the year. He failed to go deeper than five innings in any of his first five starts of the year. However, he's managed to earn quality outings in two straight starts since then, pitching exactly six innings on each occasion. If he can continue pitching a bit deeper into games, he'll have much more win potential and overall fantasy potential this year.
