Michael Kopech Looks Well In Season Debut
4 years agoChicago White Sox pitcher Michael Kopech looked like he didn't miss a beat in his first appearance since 2018 after undergoing Tommy John surgery and electing to sit out the 2020 campaign. The former highly touted starter worked out of relief and that's the plan out of the gate this season. Kopech walked Mike Trout to start the bottom of the eighth inning and finished with a line of zero hits, one walk and three strikeouts over two innings in his first victory of the season. Kopech is a name to watch if injury prone starter Carlos Rodon or any other starter gets hurt this season, but for now will be a valuable option for managers in leagues that count holds.
