Michael Kopech K’s 10 In Second Start
4 years agoChicago White Sox pitcher Michael Kopech was impressive in his second start of the season on Sunday versus the Texas Rangers. Kopech drew the start with Lucas Giolito being pushed back to Tuesday. The right-hander was electric on Sunday and allowed four hits, one run, zero walks and struck out 10 over five innings. Kopech threw 87 pitches on the afternoon and has now excelled as both a reliever and starter this season. With starting pitcher Dylan Cease struggling this season, it will be interesting to see if manager Tony La Russa decides to move Kopech to the starting rotation permanently. Kopech now owns a shiny 1.72 ERA with 27 strikeouts and four walks in 15 2/3 innings. He should be rostered in all formats.
